Acupuncture Injection Therapy

Acupuncture Injection Therapy (AIT) also known as point injection therapy (PIT) is a modern treatment technique which combines the principles of acupuncture as an energy medicine with the pharmacological effect of an injectable substance.
Emerged in China in the 1950s, AIT is a technique derived from intramuscular injection in Western medicine which was integrated into traditional Chinese medicine, consisting of a liquid agent injected into an acupuncture point to prevent and/or treat diseases.


Sterile solutions of herbs, high-dilution botanical preparations, vitamins or minerals, are injected into traditional acupuncture points to enhance the effect of the treatment. Using whole body approach to care, acupoint injection therapy offers lasting effects, and a more targeted treatment. This approach is believed to have a more sustained effect than the traditional acupuncture needling or the simple intramuscular injection.


It can be used for a variety of indications: neck pain, knee pain, shoulder pain, arthritis, insomnia, headaches, migraines, PMS, muscular pain, fatigue, gastrointestinal, neurological or respiratory issues. It can also be used to treat scars, stimulate the immune system, release myofascial pain via trigger points, or for facial rejuvenation.

We currently offer AIT with the following vitamins and herbs:

  • Vitamin B12

  • Traumeel 

Traumeel is a homeopathic preparation used for treatment of injuries such as sprains, dislocations, contusions, fractures, post-operative and post- traumatic oedema and swelling of the soft tissues, skin irritation, herpes blisters, insects’ bites.

  • Zeel

Zeel is the botanical alternative to chronic NSAID administration like Diclofenac or Cox II inhibitors as it has no adverse renal, hepatic, cardio-vascular, gastrointestinal, or CNS side effects. It is indicated for treating pain, inflammation, and stiffness associated with degenerative arthritic condition, osteoarthritis, spondylarthrosis, scapulohumeral periarthritis, arthritis, and rheumatic joints.
Zeel is often combined with Traumeel for musculoskeletal injuries and inflammatory diseases accelerating recovery and improving mobility.

  • Procaine

A well-known safe and nontoxic local anesthetic, procaine proved to display a variety of biological and pharmacological effects, functioning as an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, cardioprotective, neuroprotective, radioprotective, cytoprotective, and demethylating agent.   • Gelsenium Comp

Gelsenium is used for the improvement of painful nerve conditions, such as postherpetic neuralgia, trigeminal neuralgia, or sciatic pain.

  • Engystol 

Engystol is a homeopathic formulation recommended for common old, flu, viral Infections, fever, RSV infections. It is excellent to strengthen the body’s infection defenses and can be taken after the onset of symptoms, as well as for prevention and chronic treatment.  Also used for herpes virus infections.

  • Gripp

Gripp is another homeopathic formulation recommended for the first signs of colds and flu (malaise, body ache, sore throat, chills). It stimulates phagocytic activity and increases antibody response to influenza viruses. 

  • Spascupreel®

Spascupreel® Injection Solution is a homeopathic drug product indicated for the relief of spasms of the smooth musculature of the gastrointestinal and the urogenital tract as well as general muscle spasms.

  • Lymphomyosot

Through its botanical and mineral components, Lymphomyosot promotes metabolic processes and activates lymph outflow from the tissues. It is indicated for detoxification, lymphedema, allergic reactions, swelling, injuries due to environmental toxins, as anti-inflammatory and tissue repair.

  • Discum Compositum
